Our First Year and Things to Come!
It’s time to tell the story…With a dream to share heartwarming "Rescued Tails"of dogs and cats, educate about canine safety, and donate to animal rescue organizations, our brand was born. Today we celebrate our 1st Anniversary! It’s been a year since we began warming hearts and saving lives by launching this website! Starting with pet portraits created as Christmas gifts for family and friends, our style was developed. We launched Rescued Tails with a focus on pet portraits, however my plan for over a decade has been to illustrate dozens of the dogs, and a few cats I’ve rescued in Mexico, and tell their stories.
The plan from the start was to create greeting cards, each featuring one of the rescued animals. I’m happy to say after all these years, I have many of the cards designed and printed! I have had them for sale at various art shows, and plan to add them to the online boutique. When a good amount of the stories and illustrations are complete, I will compile them into a heartwarming book. Some of these stories can be found on our “Rescued Tails” page.
An important focus for Rescued Tails is to provide education (based upon experience). Education on how to be safe around animals, specifically dogs. How to deal with dog to dog aggression. How to introduce new dogs to each other. How to approach a stray or lost dog, and similar topics. I have illustrated the basic body language of the canine family, and plan to provide new information and helpful tips and reminders more regularly.
We were excited to share our portfolio as it developed over the past year. In 2020 you will see new content in our social media which will include helpful reminders, safety tips and more.
In addition to sharing heartwarming stories of rescues, and our handling experience, we now offer our art on dresses, throw blankets, socks, tees and much more, even with Your pets on them!
Special thanks to all of you who have supported me through this venture, and all of my wonderful customers, you are greatly appreciated and I could not have gotten this far without you!
Thanks for taking the time to read about my purpose in life, and how I plan to fulfill that mission. Woof!
