Hello and thank you for visiting Rescued Tails! My mission of “Warming Hearts, Saving Lives” © was inspired by the ten years I spent rescuing dogs and cats (and the occasional horse) from the streets of Cabo San Lucas, BCS Mexico. In those years I found God’s true calling on my life, which is to help animals in need.
The concept of Rescued Tails began with a desire to share the stories of many of the estimated 1,000 dogs I rescued in that decade. In 2018 I began developing my design style with a plan to create a line of greeting cards featuring illustrations and the tales of many of these rescued animals. This plan took an unexpected turn when I decided to illustrate the pets of friends and family members as Christmas gifts last year. The reaction from my friends and family was overwhelming! And at the suggestion of my Aunt Marian, and inspirational words from my friend Gail Freels, I began this new exciting venture down the road of pet portrait designs!
My desire to share the stories of the rescued animals is not only to warm the hearts by sharing photos and details of some if the unbelievable rescues that were completed with the help of friends and volunteers in Los Cabos, MX, but to feature on my website how to be safe around animals, and how to care for them properly. You may think it surprising but many people simply do not know how to safely introduce dogs to one another. And introducing children to dogs is another area that can have a risk associated with it.
In my years of hard-core animal rescue, and attempts to rehabilitate aggressive dogs, I have gained a passion to share safety tips. Many of these tips are very simple, such as knowing what to look for in the dogs body language and movements. Soon I will begin to post safety information on my blog page and social media.
I have recently expanded the products offered on this site. I can have your pet portraits printed on tee shirts, mugs, etc. After you make a purchase of your pet portrait printed or framed, I can take that art and have it printed on various items so stay tuned. If you just can’t wait, please call or write to me and we can discuss doing this now! (001.951.704.3374 or woof@RescuedTails.com)
