 INTRODUCTION

I’ve always had a special connection with animals and have been rescuing dogs and cats since I was a child. I have decades of experience rescuing dogs from the streets. This led to my passion to help comfort dogs emotionally and physically and to study therapeutic remedies that can help to reduce anxiety, stress and pain.

When my dog “Planeta” started having trouble walking, I wanted to find a way to help her without medication. I recalled hearing about canine massage therapy and began to do some research and that, in short, is what sparked my career as a canine physical therapist.

RESCUING

I lived in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for 10 years and had the opportunity to rescue dogs in need from the streets, deserts and beaches on a daily basis. I volunteered my design services to the Cabo San Lucas Humane Society and was later invited to serve on the board of directors (a volunteer position).

We later formed the Los Cabos Humane Society, where I served on the board as the volunteer Director of Rescue. Here I worked hands-on, rescuing dogs in need. I also implemented rescue procedures, solicited volunteers, and trained and formed a rescue team.

While encountering many dogs with psychological issues, I began working with trainers, studying dog psychology, language, communication, music and aromatherapy.

THERAPY

Living in California I continue to help dogs hands-on (literally). I am a certified canine hydrotherapist and have gone through extensive studies of the canine anatomy and various massage techniques, laser acupuncture, cold laser therapy, red light therapy, and kinesiology taping and have received my certifications from some of the top schools in North America. I am experienced and trained in providing aquatics in both an underwater treadmill and a therapy pool.

I provide in-home therapy and Hydrotherapy in a state-of-the-art underwater treadmill, Canine Massage, and additional therapies at Barkingham Pet Hotel California in Palm Desert, CA.

I also pamper the pooches staying at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs.

MY PACK

Planeta and Reyna

Our girl Planeta recently went to the Rainbow Bridge yet we are thankful that we still have her sister and littermate, Reyna, who I adopted as pups over 13 years ago in Mexico.

Calvin, my pride and joy Gypsy Vanner.

Calvin

Meet Calvin, my magnificent Gypsy Vanner horse! He’s so fine! Calvin is 17 years young now, and he’s been with me for 9 years. He’s such a good boy and everyone who meets him tell s me how fortunate I am to have such a well behaved horse. He lives at the house with us and is friends with our dogs of course.

Trigger

Our family is complete with our newest addition Trigger! He was abandoned as a pup because he’s physically and mentally challenged, but he’s doing just fine and is growing big and strong.

Trigger is an American Bulldog but he’s the runt of the litter, so he’s much smaller than your average dog. His joints are disfigured and he could not walk when we rescued him, but he’s getting around just fine. His mental state is sharp and alert, he’s just go some issues. My plan was to get him into a rescue, but when he was delivered to me I stopped making calls because he stole my heart as soon as his little 2 lb. body rested on my chest, and he made me a mother.

More of my family; who have now gone on to the Rainbow Bridge
