I’ve tried so many products and therapies to help keep both my dogs and shelter dogs calm, and below are my recommendations from experience.

MASSAGE & HYDROTHERAPY

MASSAGE

Canine massage therapy and in many cases adding hydrotherapy is the place to start for dogs with various types of anxiety. LEARN MORE CLICK HERE.

CBD

CBD can help your pet in so many ways, however you need to use a high-quality brand. I have found Healthy Roots Hemp out of Oregon, USA to be the highest quality and the price-point is very reasonable. Click below to GET YOUR EIGHT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE GIVING YOUR PET CBD DOWNLOAD.

SOUND THERAPY

Nothing has helped my dog “Planeta” with her separation anxiety more than the calming music of Pianist Lisa Spector. Lisa is co-founder of Through a Dog’s Ear (now iCalmPet) and the pianist on the music series, she’s appeared on the CBS Early ShowNPR, and CBS Australia. Lisa is the only classical pianist to reach Billboard’s Classical Top 20 Chart with pet music.

I highly recommend this music for all dogs, it is truly therapeutic.

Here you can find music to desensitize your dog to fireworks, thunder and so much more!

If your pet has sound issues, I have found iCalmPet to help.

You have the option to download the music of your choice or purchase the speaker with music, or purchased separately, or buy a CD, Microchip, etc.. Check out the link below and you can see all of the selections.

At iCalmPet you can enjoy more of Lisa Spector’s music.

The music of Through a Dog’s Ear has been clinically demonstrated to calm dogs and reduce anxiety. The instrumentation is simple, primarily solo piano. The individual pieces have been selected and/or rearranged to gradually reduce heart rates. This is accomplished naturally by progressively slowing rhythms and simplifying auditory data.

Here are some high quality oils you can use in your diffusers, or already diluted in a roll-on. SCROLL DOWN to see a nice portable diffuser! You can also find some smaller and less costly diffusers at Marshalls and online. If you live near a Grocery Outlet, check out the essential oils and oil sprays that they carry, it’s usually a pretty good selection. NOTE: Be sure Never to put essentials on your pet without diluting.

AROMA-THERAPY

CALMING FLOWER ESSENCES

When I was rescuing dogs off of the streets of Mexico, I met a doctor who educated me on Bach Flower Essences. He would make custom mixtures of the flower essences depending on the situation that I pulled the dogs from. Fortunately Bach has an extensive line of flower essence combinations, ready to meet the needs of all pets and people too!

Animals have emotions too. They feel fear, anger, jealousy,  depression, happiness, and joy just like us. The Bach Flower Remedies are able to help our animals when they have negative emotions just as they help us when we are emotionally out of balance. The Bach Flower Remedies are 100% safe for animals
