Benefits

Canine Massage therapy offers a multitude of benefits.  By working on the dog's soft tissues, canine massage can reduce stress, improve blood flow, alleviate  pain, relax tight muscles, and help heal sprains. It is also believed to strengthen the immune system, improve digestion, and lower blood pressure. As a certified and insured Canine Massage Practitioner,  I look forward to bringing relief, relaxation and rejuvenation to your dog.

Rescues.

A massage can help a nervous or anxious dog learn that it’s okay to relax. This may build confidence and teach them to trust human touch. The more frequently your rescue experiences the relaxing touch, the more quickly he or she will live a more peaceful life.

Seniors.

Older dogs often suffer from joint issues and arthritis. These issues create decreased mobility and decreased flexibility. Massage will help ease discomfort, encourage movement and improve muscle tone.

Recovering.

For dogs recovering from injury or surgery, a massage will help speed the rehabilitation process, decrease pain and aid in preventing re-injury. Speak with your veterinarian about canine massage while your angel is recovering.

Police & Military.

Police and military dogs are prime candidates for canine massage therapy. A massage will improve muscle tone, lengthen a dog’s stride, increase range of motion, allow for more fluid movement, and reduce work-related injuries.

Therapy & Sporting.

Active dogs who participate in a regular routine will benefit from regular massages. Dogs who participate in hiking, agility, flyball, obedience classes, and other activities will also benefit greatly from regular massages.

Puppies.

We all know that puppies are full of energy. Massage will help to calm your pup and provide overall wellness. Massages also help to boost the immune system which is imperative for a puppy. Puppy massage sessions are  a bit shorter than an adult dog massage due to the nature of the puppy.

Please note: Massage is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any specific illness or condition and should only be used as a compliment to proper Veterinary care.  Massage may provide support and encourage the body into its most optimal state of health. No practice of veterinary medicine is provided by Rescued Tails.
